LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - April 14, 2009) - Reed's, Inc. (NASDAQ: REED), maker of the top-selling sodas in natural food stores nationwide, announced today that it has enhanced its national relationship with The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR), the nation's largest food retailer, based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Reed's previously announced a relationship with Kroger in July of 2008, whereby Kroger agreed to carry select Reed's and Virgil's beverage products in at least 815 locations operating under the retail banners of Kroger, Dillon's, Fry's, King Soopers and Smith's. The initial launch made Reed's Premium Ginger Brew, Reed's Extra Ginger Brew, Virgil's Root Beer, Virgil's Cream Soda and Virgil's Real Cola available to Kroger Shoppers in select store locations throughout the United States. With this expanded relationship, Reed's will offer Reed's Ginger Candy Original Chews & Peanut Butter Ginger Chews in 1,400 Kroger-owned stores nationwide.
